Thieves broke into a car inside a shopping mall

New video footage has emerged showing thieves in a black Audi smashing through the doors of a Vaughan Mills mall Wednesday morning before breaking into an electronics store.

The images, which appear to have been taken from the mall's surveillance cameras, show the black 2011 Audi A4 with Quebec license plate X10 SNP approaching and driving towards one of the mall's gated entrances at a fairly high rate of speed.

The vehicle is then seen to be driven somewhat erratically through several aisles in the mall before driving through a different exit and fleeing the scene.

The video does not show when, according to reports, the suspects broke into the store.

The incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. at the mall near Highway 400 and according to authorities the robbers were already gone by the time police arrived shortly after 1:30 a.m.

york regional police also said the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, was last seen heading toward Jane Street.

Police are looking for two suspects in connection with the incident, but are unable to provide a description, as both were disguised in hoodies at the time.

The suspects took a "quantity of electronic devices" and in addition to the robbery could face extensive charges such as breaking and entering, damage to property and dangerous driving. The investigator will have to look at a number of different things," he said.

Fortunately no one was injured in this incident, but it is certainly a daring and remarkable crime. Our investigators are working and we are currently looking for the suspects and the black 4-passenger Audi that can be identified because it has a Quebec license plate, X10-SNP. That plate was reported stolen and we are actively looking for that vehicle. It also has a distinctive emblem on the front that says, "ladies behind the wheel". So we appeal to the public, if anyone sees this vehicle please do not approach the occupants, but do contact the police as soon as possible.
