Trudeau: "Ukraine belongs in NATO."

Speaking at a press conference from the NATO Summit, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reiterated Canada's commitment to Ukraine following the announcement that the Alliance had decided to invite them to join NATO, once the conditions are met.

Trudeau emphasized that while no specific timeline has been provided for their entry, it is an important message that NATO has decided and communicated that Ukraine will become part of the Alliance.

Trudeau affirmed that Canada and NATO members will continue to support Ukraine for as long as necessary, regardless of the duration of the war.

The Prime Minister also held a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, who expressed deep gratitude for the support they have received from Canadians.
