Vladimir Guerrero Jr. wins the Home Run Derby.

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. emerged victorious in the 2023 Home Run Derby, defeating Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena in a thrilling final. The score ended at 25-23 in favor of Guerrero.

Guerrero Jr. joins his father, Vladimir Guerrero, as the only father-son duo in Major League Baseball history to win a Home Run Derby.

Guerrero Jr. is also the first player in Blue Jays history to win the competition. He was the runner-up in 2019 when he set a record for the most total home runs in the derby with 91.

His 25 home runs in the finals set a new record against Arozarena, surpassing the previous total of 23 home runs by New York Mets slugger Pete Alonso last year.
